Despite being 20kg heavier and a foot taller than fellow riders in his class, Rendell managed to wrap up the Championship two rounds early in Assen. An achievement made all the more remarkable by gaining a consistent 12 out of 12 podiums and finishing with a 71 point lead.
Rendell’s comeback from injury has been all but positive: Runner up 2013, Motostar Champion of Champions 2014. A rider with true potential in the British Superbike paddock.
'This season has been awesome, despite carrying a combined size and weight disadvantage of about 6-8mph all year, I still managed to surpass the speed of my competitors with exceptional race craft under breaking and in the corners. Having won the 125cc Motostar Championship, the time is right to move up to a larger bike 'THAT ACTUALLY FITS ME'. I have received a few team offers, however I can’t commit to anything until I can secure the additional finances required. To fund racing I work 12 hour shifts - 7 days a week, however this doesn't cover everything. Hopefully the support is out there to kick-start my career and future in the British Superbikes.'
Rendell welcomes the opportunity to test (all classes).
