Following a year out with a fractured pelvis, Ed Rendell returned for Round One of the 125GP British Superbike Series at Brands Hatch last weekend (5-7 April). Both Friday Practice and Saturday Qualifying were fraught with difficulties as the team had suspension set up issues; causing two minor crashes. Regardless of this problem, Ed managed to secure a third row position (9th) in qualifying. Over night Ed worked with his team "Banks Racing" and Ohlins Suspension to make major last minute adjustments, of which could only be tested on race day. Fortunately the changes made were in the right direction; finally giving Ed the grip he needed. In the race Ed moved through the pack securing a third place podium. Ed reports "There is still work to be done on the set up, however the bike is heading in the right direction and hopefully my performance next weekend at Thruxton will mirror this ".
Qualified: 9th Race Result: 3rd 125GP Championship Position: 3rd 125GP
