A Positive start to the weekend saw Rendell third fastest in Free Practice, this was curtailed by suspension failure in Saturdays qualifying which relegated Rendell to a dismal 15th on the grid. Following this misery Rendell pulled it out of the bag with an outstanding performance and brings home a third place podium as well as substantial championship points now placing him joint fourth. The team are overwhelmed with Rendell’s performance and look forward to Snetterton in 3 weeks time – one of Rendell’s strongest circuits.
Rendell reports: This weekend should not have ended on a high; the set up on race day was a complete stab in the dark and fortunately it paid off! I would like to thank my team (Banks Racing) and Ohlin’s Suspension for working so promptly at such short notice, resolving the problems I faced. It’s a great feeling being back on the podium for the second time this year; hopefully I can continue my success at the next round and begin contending for the championship. I would like to thank all my sponsors, with great attention to the latest ‘Daytona’ who are this years official boot supplier.
